The Temecula Valley Entrepreneur's Exchange is honored to announce its acceptance of the Award of Merit, provided by the California Association for Local Economic Development (CALED).
CALED is the premier statewide professional economic development organization dedicated to advancing its members' ability to achieve excellence in delivering economic development services to their communities and business clients. CALED's membership consists of public and private organizations and individuals involved in economic development: the business of creating and retaining jobs.
The Award of Merit was presented to the Temecula City Council for the Temecula Valley Entrepreneur's Exchange (TVE2) incubator and business resource center program for "Local Government Innovation for Economic Development Initiatives." The award recognized TVE2 for its commitment to supporting the growth of local companies, fostering job creation, and sparking economic growth in the region. The City acknowledges that this award was made possible as a result of the strategic partnerships that are an important part of the program with the Inland Empire SBDC, Tri-Tech SBDC, Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce, EDC of Southwest California, MSJC, and CSUSM @ Temecula.
Since opening its doors in November 2012, TVE2 is home to 10 technology focused startups, has assisted over 300 small businesses, conducted over 150 workshops and events for the business community and reached over 1500 attendees. The rapid expansion in less than 2 years makes it clear why the business incubator was a strong candidate. The incubator program is currently accepting applications for technology based startups looking to participate in the program – great office space, collaboration and networking with other entrepreneurs, and access to advisors. Applications are available online. For more information about the Temecula Valley Entrepreneur's Exchange, please visit www.tve2.org.
