Related Special Reports

New tech start-up Academically InformED has joined the TVE2 Incubator program, marking the 12th company to participate in the program since opening in November 2012.

Academically InformED is a mobile app for iOS and Android that aims to decrease miscommunications between parents, teachers and students. Using Academically InformED allows parents to check on their student’s educational progress and to connect with the educators that teach them. Students will be able to check grades and assignments, and teachers will be able to connect with parents regarding their student’s educational well-being.

Academically InformED Co-Founder Michael Murphy graduated from Alvernia University and worked as a middle-school teacher for several years before returning to school to receive his master’s degree in education and his Principal Certificate. Murphy has years of experience in the educational field, and as a parent and former student, possesses the insight needed for all three branches of the Academically InformED network.
