Nov. 5: Midweek Marketing Series: Marketing Plan. 9-11 a.m. Marketing takes time, money, and lots of preparation. One of the best ways to prepare yourself is to develop a solid marketing plan. A strong marketing plan will ensure you’re not only sticking to your schedule, but that you’re spending your marketing funds wisely and appropriately. Nov. 12: TVE2 Pitch Practice. 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Calling all tech startup entrepreneurs. Come and practice your investor pitch in a fun and friendly environment. Networking and lunch at 11:30am. Nov. 13: IESBDC - QuickBooks for Beginners. 9 a.m.-12 p.m. The QuickBooks for Beginners seminar will demonstrate functions useful for daily operations in you small business. Additional topics to be covered include Setting up Your System, Navigating QuickBooks Software, Organizing the Chart of Accounts, Computerized Balance & Income Sheets, Accounts Payable/Receivable and Daily Operations Including Payment of Invoices & Creation of Customer Invoices. Nov. 14: TVCC Professional Development Series: Stylemaker Social Media Secrets. 9-11 a.m. Presented by Danielle Elderkin from Cover Story Communications. Get tips and tricks to become a “stylemaker” in your industry with examples from some of the most influential brands online. You’ll learn how to use a blog, Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Google+ to build and maintain client relationships and generate sales. Nov. 17: Board of Equalization: Record Keeping Workshop. 9-10 a.m. The Basic Record Keeping class will teach business owners and entrepreneurs the benefits of sound record keeping, the required documents and how long to keep them, how to record outof-state sales, and the importance of Use Tax records. Nov. 20: SCORE: Email Marketing Strategies. 9-11 a.m. This workshop will cover the importance of email marketing and the power of creating automated processes and systems with your email marketing platform. We'll review a few of the most popular platforms available today (GetResponse, Aweber, Constant Contact, InfusionSoft) along with strategies that you can implement today.
