Temecula Valley Entrepreneur's Exchange hosts Youth Hour of Code session

The Temecula Valley Entrepreneur’s Exchange (TVE2) will be hosting an Hour of Code session on Dec. 11 from 4-5 p.m.

Students in grades fourth-eighth are invited to attend this hands-on event and learn about coding. Students will engage in Code Combat, a multiplayer game where they learn important foundational coding skills. The game itself is set in a fantasy realm in which the player must code to win.

Hour of Code, organized by nonprofit group Code.org, is a global movement reaching tens of millions of students in 170-plus countries, during Computer Science Education week, Dec. 4-8. TVE2 is hosting this event in an effort to demystify computer science through fun activities and introductory tutorials. With increased interest and exposure to computer science, students will be better equipped to succeed by exercising their creativity and strengthening their problem-solving skills.
