Airport Green Build
Location: Downtown San Diego/Midway District
Size: 10 new gates, a dual-level roadway to separate arriving and departing passengers, additional security lanes and more shopping and dining options.
Developer/Owner: San Diego County Regional Airport Authority
Contractor(s): Kiewit/Sundt Joint Venture; Turner/PCL/Flatiron Joint Venture
Cost: $1 billion
Status: Dual-level roadway and new white canopy at Terminal 2 taking shape. Scheduled completion for summer 2013.

UCSD Jacobs Medical Center
Location: La Jolla
Size: 245 beds, 10 stories, 509,500 square feet
Developer/Owner: UC San Diego Health Systems
Contractors: Kitchell; Cannon Design
Cost: $670 million
Status: Broke ground in April 2012. Lower level to third floor scheduled to open in 2015, remaining floors estimated to open June 2016.

Naval Replacement Hospital
Location: Camp Pendleton
Size: 54 beds, 500,000 square feet
Developer/Owner: U.S. Navy

Cost: $451 million
Status: Estimated completion January 2014.

Central Library
Location: Downtown San Diego
Size: Nine-stories, 497,652-square-feet
Developer/Owner: City of San Diego; San Diego Unified School District
Contractor(s): Turner Construction; Rob Wellington Quigley (architect)
Cost: $185 million
Status: Construction is 86 percent done, estimated completion end of July 2013.

San Vicente Dam
Location: Lakeside
Size: Raising the height of the dam from 220 feet to 337 feet to increase water storage by an additional 152,000 acre-feet. Project is the tallest dam raise in the United States.
Developer/Owner: San Diego County Water Authority
Contractors: Shimmick Construction Co.- Obayashi Corp. joint venture
Cost: $140.2 million for dam raise; $449.2 million overall cost for suite of projects
Status: The raising of the dam to its new full height of 337 feet is complete, with work continuing on installing mechanical equipment used to operate the dam and building access roads. Testing of major dam operating equipment is set to begin during spring 2013.

Fat City Hotel
Location: Downtown San Diego
Size: 362 rooms, 62,809 square feet
Developer/Owner: Frank Fat Properties LP, GLJ Partners
Contractor(s): Gene Fong Associates (architect)
Cost: $40 million
Status: Construction estimated to begin early 2013.

Horton Plaza Park
Location: Downtown San Diego
Size: One full city block on Broadway and Fourth Avenue, approximately 60,000 square feet.
Developer/Owner: The Westfield Group; city of San Diego
Contractor(s): Walker Macy (architect)
Cost: $8.3 million
Status: Gradual deconstruction is under way in the old Robinsons-May building, with full demolition of the wing to be completed by summer 2013. Civic San Diego expects construction of the new Horton Plaza to begin upon completion of the building demolition.

Tom Ham’s Lighthouse
Location: Harbor Island
Size: Seating for 252 people, including indoor/outdoor dining areas and lounges. Renovation includes a new split-level dining deck on the second floor.
Developer/Owner: Susie and Larry Baumann
Contractor(s): Hawkins Construction; Graham Downes Architecture
Cost: $3.5 million
Status: Broke ground early January, estimated completion May 2013.
