ISEC Inc.

For San Diego interior specialty subcontractor, ISEC Incorporated, supporting the local community and economy is an important major focus on every project they undertake. With extensive transportation experience and one of many partners on the San Diego Airport Green Build Terminal, ISEC utilized 11 small and local businesses while mentoring and exposing to a large iconic commercial transportation project in San Diego.

In their various scopes of the project, ISEC was involved in the construction of structural steel stairs, ornamental metals, glass handrail, architectural millwork, gate and ticket counters, quartz countertops, custom information desks and smart curb check in counters. ISEC contracted in excess of 30% of the contract to local small business.

Design build projects bring a certain complexity and this project was no different. From a demanding engineering schedule, complex finishes and high standards of excellence of HNTB and the SD Airport Authority, ISEC's team had to perform, "do what they said they would do," and most of all meet stringent deadlines. The JV created an atmosphere of teamwork and "how can we get it done" -- they surrounded themselves with can do partners who found solutions to constructability problems and would not sacrifice quality for the airport authority.

The ISEC team of Kim Hoover, Senior Project Manager; Jeff Gladinus, Operations Manager; Harry Stamp, General Superintendent; Steve Zolezzi, Lead Foreman; Ashley Hawkins, Project Manager; Brian Wildman, Senior Project Engineer; and Bobby Falar, Project Engineer; and over 30 union craftsmen did an excellent job of executing the multiple scopes. ISEC utilized product and self-performed installation from more than 40 different manufacturers.

Beyond the construction projects, ISEC is a big believer in community involvement and supports many local organizations throughout the county including: San Diego Food Bank; Ronald McDonald House at Rady Children's Hospital; Job Corps; Fisher House Foundation and more.
