The San Diego Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA) is inviting eligible students, professors and transitioning veterans to participate in BOMA International's 2013 Every Building Conference & Expo Career Day from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 24, 2013, at the San Diego Convention Center.
Career Day was created in response to a growing interest in the commercial real estate industry by students and young professionals. To offer guidance and support to these individuals, BOMA International has produced a day dedicated to education. Qualifying students, professors and transitioning veterans are invited to attend the conference free of cost to learn about potential career opportunities in commercial real estate, and more specifically, the field of property and asset management.
"Career Day is an excellent opportunity for students to learn more about the commercial real estate industry," said Mike Hansen, president of BOMA San Diego. "Students will have the advantage of connecting with some of commercial real estate's most seasoned professionals as they explore one of commercial real estate's most influential tradeshows."
To qualify as a student, professor or transitioning veteran, the candidate must be a full or part-time student enrolled in a community college, college or university and not employed in the commercial real estate industry; a professor employed by a community college, college or university teaching a course or courses in commercial real estate and not employed in the commercial real estate industry; or a military veteran transitioning from active military service into the private sector.
Students in the San Diego area are encouraged to attend BOMA International's Career Day to take advantage of this opportunity to launch a career within commercial real estate.
