San Diego buildings earn top honors from BOMA International over last 50 years

The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Awards are the most prestigious and comprehensive programs of their kind in the commercial real estate industry, recognizing quality in buildings and rewarding excellence in building management.

During the competitions, all facets of a building's operations are thoroughly evaluated. Buildings are judged on everything from community involvement and site management, to environmental and green policies and procedures.

The following San Diego buildings and management companies have received TOBY awards from 1985 to 2012:

·525 B Street, managed by Tishman Speyer Properties in 1994-95 in the Rehabilitated/Modernized category

·Jacob Weinberger U.S. Courthouse, managed by General Services Administration in 1995-96 in the Historical category

·One American Plaza, managed by Morlin Management Corporation in 1995-96 in the Over 500,000 square feet category (Regional winner)
