Students learn about the real world at 'mini city' in Bay Park

ABC’s BizTown construction shop gives students the opportunity to complete a hands-on plumbing project assembling the pipes for a bathroom sink and two electrical projects -- wiring a doorbell and LED lights. Instructors provide supervision and assistance, but the students themselves read and discuss the instructions, select their tools, and practice good safety procedures throughout.

Lusardi completes renovation of iconic resort

Rancho Valencia is a luxury resort located in the heart of Rancho Santa Fe. U.S. News and World Report ranked it the No. 9 resort in the country this year and it was recently selected by Forbes Travel Guide as one of the finest five-star hotels in the world. The resort was originally built in 1989 and has become a Southern California retreat for many. In May of 2010, the resort changed ownership and the decision to embark on a complete renovation began. The owner’s goal is to make this the No. 1 resort in the country.
