Downtown Chula Vista offers a wide array of fun-filled family activities throughout the summer months.
The Chula Vista Chamber of Commerce once again held candidate interviews to determine chamber endorsement. On Friday, June 4, the stage was set at the Otay Recreation Center in Chula Vista. Candidates for City Council Seat No. 2, state Assembly, and state Legislature were given the opportunity to answer questions posed by the Chula Vista Chamber of Commerce.
Established in 1924, the Chula Vista Chamber of Commerce wears many hats to accomplish its mission to represent the business community. We strive to enhance the members' ability to conduct their individual businesses successfully and to improve the economic stability of the community.
For the third consecutive year, the Chula Vista Chamber of Commerce, along with the San Diego Port District and the city of Chula Vista, will host "Celebrate Chula Vista." This year's event is scheduled Saturday, Sept. 11, from noon to 9 p.m. at Marina View Park.

These are areas in which credit unions excel.
EastLake has proven to be one of the strongest retail areas in San Diego County. With the recent completion of EastLake Village Marketplace, featuring Target and Lowe's; EastLake Village Center East, featuring a Kohl's; and EastLake Terraces, containing a Wal-Mart and a Home Depot, two new projects are expecting to ride the tidal wave of growth in eastern Chula Vista.
