Under their vision and leadership, San Diegans will look forward to a number of milestones to be celebrated this year.

  • La Jolla estate to host centennial gala for YWCA of San Diego County

    Philanthropist, community volunteer and YWCA's Centennial Honorary Chair Joan Waitt will graciously open her home to the YWCA of San Diego County for its upcoming gala on May 3. The event will celebrate the agency's centennial birthday. There are still tables as well as individual tickets for this first-ever event.

    Since 1908, the YWCA of San Diego County has focused on improving the status of women and children, and advancing racial justice. Although our programs have evolved to meet the changing needs in the community, we continue to work to better the lives of women and families.
