The Bali Hai: A family affair

La Jolla Cove's Trattoria Acqua gets lease extension

Trattoria Acqua on the Cove, celebrating its 16-year anniversary, recently got a renewal on its lease. The La Jolla-restaurant was nearly shut down last month when its landlord elected not to renew the lease; only after announcing closing to the public and sitting down with the staff for a final dinner, did the restaurant's landlord grant it a six-year lease extension. 

Bali Hai undergoing facelift, to reopen in April

The family-owned landmark, Bali Hai Restaurant, is currently being revamped and will soon unveil a new look and menu.  

World Water Day Festival returns to Carlsbad

The Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation is hosting its fourth annual World Water Day Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, March 20, at the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Discovery Center in Carlsbad.
