The Board of Directors of the Downtown San Diego Partnership has unanimously endorsed a proposal for a high-frequency Centre City trolley loop downtown.
The Downtown San Diego Partnership produces and promotes a number of special events throughout the year, including membership luncheons, mixers, the Alonzo Awards dinner, our popular golf tournament and many others. Partnership events have earned a reputation for their substance, relevance and entertainment.
As well as being the Downtown San Diego Partnership 2008 chair, Donna Jones is a partner at Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton in the Real Estate, Land Use and Environmental Practice Group in the firm's San Diego office. She graduated with a B.A. in journalism, with honors, from Texas A&M University in 1981. She graduated with a J.D. from the University of Texas, with high honors, as a member of Order of the Coif and as Grand Chancellor, in 1990. She has spent her legal career specializing in land use in San Diego.
Since taking the reins of the organization in August 2002, Barbara Warden has continued to increase the Downtown Partnership's role as the leading business advocate for economic growth and revitalization of downtown, and enhanced the management and implementation of the organization's many programs.
Funded by downtown property owner assessments, the Clean & Safe Program provides enhanced maintenance and safety services in the downtown public right of way and sidewalks above and beyond the baseline level of service provided by the city of San Diego.

Downtown San Diego is the hub of the regional transportation network. Commuters and visitors find their way to the center city by using various modes of transportation including the Coaster, trolley, train, bus and car. For the driver, there are three major freeways that converge on downtown and ample parking throughout the area.
In its 24th year, San Diego's ArtWalk Festival will return to downtown's hip and historic Little Italy neighborhood on April 26 and 27 from 12 noon to 6 p.m. on both days.

Transit Pass Program -- As our downtown is growing more and more, so is the need for public transportation. The San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) provides fantastic services to many who work, but do not live in our downtown. By purchasing passes through the Partnership, a business can receive a significant discount on monthly passes for its employees. This year we are distributing around 1,000 passes monthly to hotels and businesses in the area. The Downtown San Diego Partnership is a nonprofit business association comprised of about 340 local business and property owners committed to advancing downtown San Diego as the leading economic, cultural and governmental center of the San Diego region through leadership, advocacy and education.
