The African Conservancy, a Vista-based nonprofit, membership organization that aims to preserve African wildlife and traditional cultures, is selling art and other African merchandise online.
The "online gallery" aims to support socioeconomic development, wildlife protection and education programs in Africa.
The Web site is www.africanconservancy.org/member/marketplace.html. It sells travel clothing, books, CDs and videos and African Conservancy merchandise. The organization makes a commission from goods sold through affiliate programs, and all profits go back into projects in Africa.
Items displayed in the gallery include African sculpture, paintings, drawings, decorative art and prints.
The African Conservancy is headquartered in Vista with a base of operations in Lusaka, Zambia. For more information about the African Conservancy, visit its Web site at www.africanconservancy.org.
