PageTech, Pitney Bowes collaborate on service

San Diego-based PageTech, a developer of print control language (PCL) print stream conversion software, will collaborate with Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE: PBI) for the Volly secure digital delivery service.

With this integration, a wider range of document providers, including small businesses, credit unions and print service providers, will have access to a digital platform. The alliance will enable PageTech clients to efficiently deliver their customer communications — statements, monthly bills, notices — electronically to consumers through Volly in a PDF format.

PageTech provides software applications that support conversion of PCL output to vector-based PDF formats, which allows for easy and secure delivery of communications to Volly’s users. PageTech has extensive presence in the service bureau, credit union and regional bank industries.

Volly, a digital delivery service that will be free to the consumer, organizes bills, statements and other household documents in one place, and will provide easy bill payment functionality. All documents will be stored securely, and will be instantly retrievable on a computer or any Web-enabled device on demand.
