Sept. 10: Pitch Practice, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. -- This event is a networking event for tech startups/entrepreneurs and includes a Pitch Practice at noon. Entrepreneurs that pitch will receive feedback from panel. No cost to attend. Register at https://tve2septpitch.eventbrite.com. Sept. 16: IESBDC: Using Census Data for your Business, 9-11 a.m. -- Find out how to access free economic and demographic data online to use in constructing strategic business and marketing plans, improving business development prospects, and locating the best site for a business. This workshop will provide information on local economic conditions, how to identify local customer bases, and finding competing and complementary businesses in the Inland Empire. Sept. 23: Listen Up! A workshop for strengthening your listening skills, 9-11 a.m. -- There are barriers to effective listening, and these barriers cost you time and money. Whether you manage a business or manage people, good listening skills are essential. But good listening doesn't come naturally. In this workshop you will experience first-hand your own barriers, and practice techniques to improve your listening skills. Presenter Jim McLaughlin with MorrisonMcNabb works with people in business to identify hidden barriers to success and to increase their effectiveness. Sept. 25: SCORE: Google, Google+, & Google Hangout, 9-11 a.m. -- Do you want to really learn about Google? Not sure what all the buzz is? Come and learn all about Google, including: Current Google Search Considerations, How to use Google+ and Why, How to post, Circles, and more. What is Hangouts, Why use Hangouts, Pros and Cons of Hangouts, and Comparisons. Presented by Helene Berren, owner of marketing firm AmpUrBiz. The workshop is $15 preregister, $25 at door.
