Vince Mudd named as Water Authority rep on MWD board

San Diego businessman Vincent Mudd has been seated as a member of the board of directors of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.

Mudd will represent the San Diego County Water Authority on Metropolitan’s 37-member board, succeeding Lynne Heidel, who had served on the board since July 2010.

Mudd is president and chief executive officer of San Diego Office Interiors, a company he established with his wife, Cathy, in 1994. He has been involved in numerous civic endeavors in San Diego, and is the incoming chairman of the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corp. He is currently chairman of San Diego’s Citizen’s Fiscal Sustainability Task Force and serves on the board of directors of San Diego State University’s Campanile Foundation.

Mudd previously served on the board of the State Compensation Insurance Fund and was the immediate past-chairman of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce.
