Susan Mohney has nearly 30 years of experience as a paralegal, and is head paralegal in Luce Forward's Insurance Litigation Department. In addition to her large individual caseload, including complex case actions and multiparty litigation matters, Mohney is responsible for providing administrative and supervisory support for as many as 300 cases at any given time. She assigns and monitors the activities of each case, ensuring that each matter is managed properly and uniform approaches are utilized to streamline the litigation process. Mohney supervises and oversees the work assignments of 16 paralegals and case assistants.
Prior to joining Luce Forward, Mohney gained related experience while working as the primary paralegal on other complex business litigation matters involving ERISA issues, construction defect cases, airline deregulation issues involving John Wayne Airport, airport noise litigation involving Lindbergh Field and an FDIC case. She also authored an article on case management that was published in Legal Assistant Today.
Mohney co-chairs Luce Forward's annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure team, which in the past has produced a team of more than 100 members.
She earned a bachelor's degree from the State University of New York, College at Cortland, and also studied at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark.
