This is the culmination of a peer voting process in which The Daily Transcript and the Association of Legal Administrators honor outstanding law firm management professionals and firms with the best office environment and culture.
Joel DeVos has been a legal administrator for 19 years and with Wilson Petty Kosmo & Turner LLP for 15 years. He is responsible for the management of the firm’s finances, information systems/technology, human resources, facilities, risk management, etc. He works closely with the firm partnership in developing and implementing the firm’s marketing and strategic plans.
DeVos earned an MBA from University of Phoenix in San Diego and a bachelor’s in finance from San Diego State University in 1988.
He is a current member, past director, past chair of the Education Committee and past co-chair of the Scholarship Committee of the Association of Legal Administrators, San Diego Chapter. DeVos is also a member of the International Association of Legal Administrators.
As a father of two boys, DeVos enjoys working with children and has been very active in coaching Little League baseball and youth recreational basketball over the past 10 years.
