Wendy Wilkins is the administrator at the San Diego office of Latham & Watkins LLP. Having started her Latham career as an accounting manager in May 2001, she was promoted to administrator after only six months at the firm. Wilkins currently overseas the management of two offices, one located in downtown San Diego and the other in Del Mar, serving a professional population of 140 attorneys practicing in the areas of corporate law, tax, finance, litigation and environment, land and resources.
In her role as administrator for a top-tier global law firm, Wilkins provides leadership on issues ranging from financial business management and operations to communications, human resources and strategic planning. She works not only with a local team of eight managers and staff, but helps coordinate global initiatives that affect Latham’s 28 offices around the world.
Prior to her employment at Latham & Watkins, Wilkins worked for CD-Lit Solutions LLC, a subsidiary of the public accounting and financial consulting firm Bruno, Mack & Barclay (BMB). As director of operations at CD-Lit, Wilkins specialized in construction defect-related data management services. Wilkins had previously worked for BMB as a senior financial analyst, providing discovery assistance, causation and damage quantification analysis and financial modeling for lost profits, business valuation, commercial litigation and breach of contract matters. Wilkins has also worked in private accounting in the computer industry.
Wilkins received her master’s degree cum laude from San Diego State University in 1999, and her bachelor’s, cum laude, from the University of West Florida in 1992. She became a Certified Public Accountant in 2000.
Wilkins balances her work responsibilities with being mother to two very energetic preschoolers, Nicholas (age 4) and Alexander (age 2). She loves to spend time with her family, enjoys classical music and is a long-time supporter of the San Diego Symphony, as well as an avid competitor in triathlons with her husband.
