Welcome to the Executive Profiles section of Point Loma Nazarene University's Master of Business Administration program. Featuring current graduates of the MBA as well as the members of the faculty, the intention is to provide the San Diego business community a convenient connecting point to the high quality individuals involved in the Point Loma Nazarene University MBA. As members of the Fermanian School of Business at PLNU, over 500 students are currently pursuing either undergraduate or graduate business degrees in both day and evening classes.

Ms. Katherine M. Lausten is currently employed by Fidelity Technologies and is a Navy Helicopter Simulator Instructor at NAS North Island for the MH-60R aircraft.
Prior to Fidelity Technologies, she was an active duty helicopter pilot for the US Navy stationed with HSM-41 at NAS North Island. She was an instructor pilot for 3.5 years for the SH-60B aircraft and spent 9 years on active duty flying helicopters. She received the Air Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal for her efforts during Iraqi Freedom.
Lausten earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from Auburn University and a Masters of Business Administration from Point Loma Nazarene University. Her MBA thesis project was to develop a magazine just for military women in order to provide information and guidance to a niche group whose concerns and desires are not being addressed.
Lausten and her husband reside in San Diego, California and enjoy traveling.
