Welcome to the Executive Profiles section of Point Loma Nazarene University's Master of Business Administration program. Featuring current graduates of the MBA as well as the members of the faculty, the intention is to provide the San Diego business community a convenient connecting point to the high quality individuals involved in the Point Loma Nazarene University MBA. As members of the Fermanian School of Business at PLNU, over 500 students are currently pursuing either undergraduate or graduate business degrees in both day and evening classes.

Dr. Dan Croy

Faculty

Point Loma Nazarene University

Dr. Dan Croy's career has been varied including professor, author, associate pastor, therapist, consultant, and special speaker in many venues across the United States. He has worked in a variety of organizations in the corporate world and in the non-profit sector. Dr. Croy continues to speak, conduct retreats and facilitate a variety of events across the country. He's supplied most of these services over the last 10 years through his consulting company, Step Forward.

In 2007, Dr. Croy earned the National Teaching Excellence Award from the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs. He has co-authored two books on family relationships and has written a book called "Doggone Management: Personal & Professional Lessons Learned from Man's Best Friend." It’s filled with stories and lessons he’s learned from dogs on Leadership, Teamwork, Mentoring, and Dealing with difficult people.

Recent areas of consulting and speaking to organizations by Dr. Croy has focused upon Non-profit organization leadership and management, managing the change process in organizations, anger and conflict, educational and professional development, and the use of media and technology in educational and communication environments.

Dr. Croy holds a B.S. from MidAmerica Nazarene University, an M.A. from University of Northern Colorado and an Ed.D. from Vanderbilt University, and his teaching is centered on Management, Human Resources and related topics. He and his wife Kay live in San Diego, Ca.
