Welcome to the Executive Profiles section of Point Loma Nazarene University's Master of Business Administration program. Featuring current graduates of the MBA as well as the members of the faculty, the intention is to provide the San Diego business community a convenient connecting point to the high quality individuals involved in the Point Loma Nazarene University MBA. As members of the Fermanian School of Business at PLNU, over 500 students are currently pursuing either undergraduate or graduate business degrees in both day and evening classes.

Prof. Ray Havens

Point Loma Nazarene University

Professor Ray Havens is a professional golfer, who has been a working and teaching pro and/or in the golf industry for 35 years. His career includes five major golf courses in San Diego county, and golf retail management. His college teaching experience includes instruction in finance and investments, and he currently adjuncts for Point Loma Nazarene University in golf and bowling, and teaches MBA golf and basic math. He has an MBA from SDSU and a BA in biblical literature from Point Loma College.


Ray has been married to his wife Becky for 25 years; Ray has a married daughter and a grand-daughter, and together they have two college age children, both students at Point Loma Nazarene University. They attend San Diego First Church of the Nazarene, and they love golf, tennis and long walks with their dogs during leisure time. The family enjoys three basenjis, one of which is from a litter of four puppies whelped at home.
