Linda Brangwynne is a senior paralegal in the San Diego office of Latham & Watkins LLP, specializing in complex environmental litigation, insurance litigation and regulatory compliance matters. She has 30 years of litigation experience, including more than 17 years with the firm.
Brangwynne's primary area of concentration is complex environmental litigation. During her tenure she has served as the lead senior paralegal responsible for case management of a large CERCLA natural resource damage action from early discovery through trial, including coordination with joint defense counsel teams, and the supervision of the joint defense document repository. Brangwynne has managed a number of insurance litigation matters, and she has extensive experience in state and federal courts at the trial and appellate level. In addition to managing an active caseload, Brangwynne has participated in preparing and conducting training seminars for Latham & Watkins LLP paralegals, and she is an active mentor to more junior paralegals in her department.
Brangwynne commenced her legal career with the U.S. Department of Justice, Antitrust Division, where she specialized in pre-merger investigations, civil and criminal antitrust litigation in federal courts and grand jury investigations. Prior to her employment with Latham & Watkins LLP, she worked as a litigation paralegal for Morrison & Foerster in Los Angeles and Schall, Boudreau & Gore in San Diego.
Brangwynne received her bachelor's degree, cum laude, from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1980. She earned a paralegal certificate from the U.S. Department of Justice/Institute of Paralegal Training in 1979.
She is an active member of Journey Community Church in La Mesa, where she is a volunteer leader in its youth ministry outreach programs, and serves as a mentor to high school students.
