Michelle Hittle is a paralegal in the intellectual property litigation and business litigation practice groups and is a member of the Cooley Godward Kronish LLP litigation department. She joined the firm in April 1998 and is a resident in its San Diego office.
Hittle’s work concentrates on complex business litigation disputes, with an emphasis on intellectual property, including patent infringement, copyright infringement, unfair competition and misappropriation of trade secrets.
She received a paralegal certificate from the University of San Diego, California.

Ronald A. Katz Technology Licensing LP v. Numerous Defendants: Member of litigation counsel team representing plaintiff for various actions filed in U.S. District Court for the E.D. Texas, J. Clark and J. Folsom (2006), Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation (MDL) transfer to C.D. Cal. J. Klausner and J. Collins (March 20, 2007). Prosecution of patent infringement cases involving automated call center technology. Ongoing for some defendants, resolved for others by licensing of client’s technology.
Ichor Medical Systems v. Cyto Pulse Sciences, May 2003: Paralegal on the litigation team representing plaintiff in a three-week jury trial held before Hon. Napoleon A. Jones in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California. Plaintiff, Ichor Medical Systems, a small Sorrento Valley company, filed a lawsuit in April 1999 alleging that Richard Walters, founder of Cyto Pulse Sciences, stole trade secrets, breached his nondisclosure agreement with Ichor and breached his fiduciary duty to the company. Ichor won a $13.5 million judgment against Cyto Pulse Sciences, Walters and affiliated companies owned by Walters. The defendants were also ordered to pay Ichor $400,000 in punitive damages.
