Pat Schmidt is president of Pro Tem Legal Services, a San Diego-based placement service for legal support staff that she founded in 1979. Schmidt, a former legal secretary, is a past president of San Diego Legal Secretaries Association. She is also a past president of the San Diego Chapter of the California Association of Temporary Services, the predecessor association of California Staffing Professionals (CSP). She has earned the designation of California Accredited Consultant from the CSP as well as that of Certified Staffing Professional, granted by the American Staffing Association.
