Prior to joining Goodwin Procter LLP, I was Co-Chair of the Corporate/VLG Practice Group at Heller Ehrman LLP and a member of the Intellectual Property Transactions Practice Group. I previously served as Co-Chair of Heller Ehrman’s Life Sciences Practice Group. I also served as a clerk for the Honorable Bruce M. Selya of U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.

Personal Background
From 1979 to 1987, I was an Assistant Professor of History at Stanford University. I am author of a book, The Origins of University: The Schools of Paris and Their Critics, 1100-1215 (1985) and numerous articles and reviews on medieval European history.
