Major Cases
I represent mainly technology-oriented companies in all stages of the corporate lifecycle, starting with formation and growing with the company through financings, mergers and acquisitions and (hopefully) to a successful exit through an acquisition or public offering. These companies encompass the full spectrum of technology areas in San Diego, including biotechnology, medical devices, software, hardware, wireless and health care. I am fortunate that I get to work with talented inventors and founders and participate in the process, which takes an idea and turns it into a viable company.
Professional Background
I have been practicing corporate law in San Diego since 1997. I am currently a member with Mintz Levin and practice in its corporate group. Prior to Mintz Levin, I was a partner in Fish & Richardson’s business and securities group. I began my career at Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison, in its business and technology group. In my practice, I regularly counsel clients on corporate and securities matters, including venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and general business matters for both public and private companies.
Professional Affiliations
I am active in Athena, the organization for executive women in the San Diego life sciences, technology, health care and business communities.

Personal Background
I grew up in San Diego (Solana Beach) with my six sisters and one brother. My parents and most of my siblings still live in San Diego. I feel very lucky to be practicing law down the hill my high school, Torrey Pines. I look forward to giving Christopher, my 2-year-old son, the same idyllic Southern California upbringing I received.
