It is the culmination of a lengthy peer voting process that began in February with the announcement of a call for nominations. San Diego County lawyers were asked who among their peers -- with whom they had professional experience -- were worthy of recognition.
Education Law School/Year: University of San Diego School of Law, 1994 College/Year: University of California, Riverside, 1989; Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia, 1988 Bar Admissions State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization, Family Law, 2002; State Bar of California, 1994; Federal District Court, Southern District, 1994 Practice Areas Family & Domestic Relations Major Cases Our firm is devoted exclusively to Family Law and we specialize in complex business valuation, financial litigation and high conflict custody cases. Due to the nature of our practice, I am unable to comment on specific cases. However, it is not uncommon for me to have a case that deals with the valuation of a closely held business, an extensive analysis of income, tracing of separate or community assets and a psychological evaluation regarding custody. Although I pride myself on settling cases, as one of the firm’s trial attorneys, I have also successfully taken numerous cases to trial. Professional Background As a Supervising and Trial Attorney with the firm, I supervise junior associates and handle complex dissolution cases from inception to trial. I also represent clients in post-judgment actions, pre-marital agreements and move-away cases. I’ve worked at the Law Offices of Beatrice Snider since 2000. Prior to joining the firm, I handled the entire family law caseload for a Northern California firm, where I also represented clients in real estate and civil litigation cases. My private investigator and journalism background, as well as my fluency in Spanish, are also assets in practicing family law. I serve on the concert, renaissance awards, advocacy and rebuilding together committees. I also serve on other committees in North Park, including the Lions Club Toyland Parade, North Park Parking Management and North Park Christmas Party. I’m actively involved with my Catholic Church and have worked as a volunteer attorney for the county, state and nationwide Legal Task Force. I enjoy legislation and teaching horseback riding to my nieces. Personal Background Traveling, politics and spending time with my family and friends are my passions outside the practice of law. My father was in the Air Force, so my childhood was spent living in various parts of our country, until we settled in Riverside where we raised horses, goats, chickens and pigs. Various moves with my family as a child inspired my passion for travel, whether it’s been spelunking in Iceland, bungee jumping in New Zealand, scuba diving in Australia or hiking through the John Muir Wilderness. My passion for politics has given me the opportunity to work on Capitol Hill in D.C., serve on numerous committees and work on campaigns.
