It is the culmination of a lengthy peer voting process that began in February with the announcement of a call for nominations. San Diego County lawyers were asked who among their peers -- with whom they had professional experience -- were worthy of recognition.

As of late, my caseload has involved development and construction of various types of power plants, wastewater treatment facilities, Indian casinos, the redevelopment of blighted or contaminated properties, and commercial leasing. Professional Background My practice focuses on counseling corporate clients on a variety of complex legal disputes, including environmental/land use, real estate, construction and development. Much of my work focuses on helping clients comply with local, state and federal environmental laws. I also handle negotiations for clients with various government administrative agencies and prosecutorial bodies. I have been with Klinedinst PC since 1998, and became a Shareholder in December 2002. Professional affiliations I am active in the San Diego County Bar Association, serving as the Chair Elect of the Bar’s Environmental Law/Land Use Section. In 2008, I will serve as the Chair for the group. I am affiliated with the National Forum for Environmental and Toxic Tort Issues, and served as Editor of the organization’s newsletter from 2004-2006. I am also a member of the International Erosion Control Association and Associated Building Contractors. Personal Background I am originally from the East Coast, but am very glad to have landed here in San Diego. I first came here as a summer law clerk in 1996, and quickly accepted a post-graduation job with same law firm -- Klinedinst -- where I still work today. I have the pleasure of working with some of my very best friends during the day, and going home to my three beautiful daughters in the evening.
