I work pretty long days as a corporate attorney, primarily working with businesses that are technology-oriented and very aggressive in their growth or development objectives. I also live a second life as a participant in the start-up community, which means that I read a lot of business plans, share a lot of cups of coffee with budding entrepreneurs, kiss a lot of frogs and make a lot of introductions. San Diego does a lot of things very well – but the way this community embraces and incubates entrepreneurs and start-up companies is one of the things we do the best. Personal Background I have a wife, Sue, who is far too good for me (just ask my friends – and hers) and two exceptionally witty and generally charming children (Tom and Caitlin). I am a fourth generation San Diegan and I simply can’t believe my good fortune to live here.
