Joshua Sonné is senior counsel at Hecht Solberg Robinson Goldberg and Bagley LLP, a prominent real estate and business boutique law firm in San Diego, where he has practiced since 2004. At Hecht Solberg, Sonné  has devoted the majority of his practice to advising, counseling and representing a diverse group of clients in risk management and litigation. Some of the clients he has had the privilege of representing include national homebuilders, government agencies, SeaWorld, the Zoological Society of San Diego and numerous nonprofit organizations.

Career highlights include co-authoring two successful appellate briefs, one of which resulted in a published opinion in the California Official Reports (Colony Hill v. Ghamaty, 143 Cal.App.4th 1156 (2006)); serving as second chair of a 13-week jury trial representing the San Diego Metropolitan Transit Agency regarding the multimillion-dollar construction of the La Mesa Segment of the San Diego Trolley; and serving as general counsel to the Larry English L.E.A.D. Foundation, a charitable organization founded by San Diego Charger Larry English for the purpose of creating opportunities to broaden the mindset of youth athletes by empowering them with advanced programming in education, professional development and mentoring to help them achieve their dreams. 

Sonné takes great pride in his ability to effectively represent his clients' interests while simultaneously lifting the veil of mysticism from the practice of law, all of which stems from the accomplished individuals with whom he works at Hecht Solberg.

Sonné has also taken on risk management responsibilities within his firm, wherein he is responsible for advising colleagues on issues ranging from ethics to client management and communication. He also serves as the chairman of Hecht Solberg’s Charitable/Non-Profit Contributions Committee. As the chair, Sonné  organizes, coordinates and participates in multiple events throughout the year in which Hecht Solberg’s attorneys, staff and their friends and family give back to the community. For instance, in May, Hecht Solberg worked with the San Diego Department of Parks and Recreation in constructing and installing pedestrian foot bridges in Florida Canyon, as well as removing litter and weeding in an effort to preserve the canyon’s natural vegetation. 

Sonné obtained his B.A. in international relations and economics from the University of Southern California, and his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center. He has been working on his master’s degree in holy matrimony since marrying his beautiful wife Sara this past August.
