San Diego business lawyer Dan W. Kehr possesses broad and substantial experience in nearly every area of business, corporate, contract, intellectual property, tax and real estate law matters. Well-versed in business law, tax law, real estate law, and estate planning, Kehr is proficient in handling both corporate and personal legal needs in one office. Focusing and developing his experience in business and corporate law, Kehr has become an irreplaceable asset to the entrepreneurs, businesses and large corporations Kehr Law represents.
Kehr represents numerous clients ranging from simple startup ventures and emerging companies to large corporations with up to 5,000 employees, as well as entities restructuring their business operations to gain greater tax advantaged structures. Counseling clients through various business and contract law matters throughout his legal career, Kehr has cultivated extensive experience in complex business, estate and real estate transactional matters, as well as in disputes, collection matters and lawsuits.
Kehr is a practicing attorney, a licensed California Real Estate broker, a WealthCounsel estate planning member, a published author, and an entrepreneur himself, starting his first business at 8 years old. His most recent published works include a technology article titled “Stepping up to Tech” in <I>San Diego Lawyer Magazine</I>’s March/April edition, and “Small Firms, Big Impact” in the magazine’s September/October 2010 edition.
Kehr is an avid golfer whose golf team is 2010 and 2011 champion of the San Diego County Bar Association’s Annual Golf Tournament.
Kehr grew up in Huntington Beach, Calif., before attending and receiving his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. As an NCAA intercollegiate baseball athlete, Kehr was honored with 11 awards for academic achievement as a student athlete. He earned his J.D. from California Western School of Law.
Kehr is the co-chairman of the San Diego County Bar Association’s Law Practice Management and Marketing Section. He was the chairman for 2010 and 2011, and was recently re-elected as co-chairman for 2012.
