AnneElise Johnson Goetz is an attorney at Higgs, Fletcher & Mack, where she focuses her practice on corporate transactional law and tax planning. She serves as outside corporate counsel to companies throughout San Diego, representing them in connection with various business transactions including entity selection, real estate acquisitions, buy-sell agreements, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, employment matters and general business counseling. In addition, Goetz practices extensively in the field of commercial real estate, advising clients on purchase and sale agreements, private financings and lease agreements.
In her free time, Goetz dedicates her efforts to organizations focused on empowering young women to seek leadership roles in the fields of law, government and business. She recently served on the planning committee for a “political boot camp” for female candidates sponsored by the Lawyers Club of San Diego and Run Women Run. She also has been an active member in Step Up, an organization linking underprivileged young women with female mentors.
Originally from the Midwest, Goetz attended the University of Wisconsin Madison, where she obtained a B.S. in political science. She received her J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, in Cleveland, Ohio where she was a member of the Niagara Moot Court Team and the recipient of the Saul S. Biskind Fellowship. Prior to joining Higgs, Fletcher & Mack, she practiced corporate and tax law in Chicago, Ill.
