Andy Puls is an associate in the business litigation practice group in Troutman Sanders’ San Diego office. He represents both local and national clients in a variety of commercial contexts, including breach of contract claims, business torts, real property disputes and insurance coverage.
Prior to joining the firm, Puls interned in the Los Angeles Superior Court for the Hon. Anita H. Dymant and the Hon. Alexander H. Williams, III (Ret.) in the Appellate Division and the Settlement Court, respectively, and at The National Security Archive research institute in Washington, D.C.
Puls served as trial counsel in Applegate Properties, Inc. v. Coronado Cays Homeowners Assoc., et. al, and obtained judgment in the client’s favor in a novel easement dispute.
He has also represented insurance clients in complex, multi-party insurance coverage disputes; a real estate developer in breach of lease action against public entity; represented both commercial and residential plaintiffs in various quiet title actions; and represented a client before an Administrative Law Judge, including cross-examination of medical and vocational experts.
Puls graduated magna cum laude from Concordia University in Irvine and also attended Oxford University. He received his J.D., cum laude, from Boston University. He is licensed to practice in California, the U.S. District Court for the Central and Southern Districts of California, and is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association.
