Professional Background
Natalie Prescott is a judicial law clerk with the Honorable Roger T. Benitez in the U.S. District Court, Southern District of California in San Diego. She drafts judicial opinions, confers with the judge regarding proposed rulings, and observes trials and motion hearings. Previously, Prescott was an associate with DLA Piper US LLP in San Diego, where she worked in the areas of product liability, securities litigation and employment law.
She has been a speaker at a number of law conferences, including the Yale Journal of International Law Annual Young Scholars Conference and the Campbell Law Review Symposium on Employment & Immigration Law. Honors include the Cambridge Who's Who Among Executive and Professional Women for 2007-2008; Outstanding Achievement in Dispute Resolution from Duke Law in 2006; and the Award for Exceptional Pro Bono Commitment from the North Carolina Bar Association in 2006.
Prescott is also a Ninth Circuit attorney volunteer, as well as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, with more than 500 hours of pro bono work completed in 2007.
