Professional Background
Shawn McMillan is a 40-year-old native of San Diego. He worked in the personal computer and consumer electronics business from 1986 through 1999 as corporate secretary and vice president of market development for a local wholesale component distribution company. McMillan has substantial experience in developing markets in Asia and Latin America. He speaks some measure of Spanish and Mandarin Chinese.
Since 2000 McMillan has maintained an active trial practice concentrating on business dispute litigation, shareholder dispute litigation and Chapter 11 small business restructuring. Most recently, he was nominated and selected as the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association "Top Gun" trial attorney of the year in the area of Civil Rights for his work in the landmark parental rights case Deanna Fogarty-Hardwick v. Orange County Social Services, et al.
