Su Barry joined Levine Steinberg Miller & Huver in 2001 as a clerk, and in 2003 as an associate. Along with lead counsel Harvey Levine and Matthew Herron, she was part of the three-attorney trial team for the case of Cisterra Partners LLC v. The Irvine Co., winning a $37.5 million verdict in December 2006 after a highly contentious 3.5-month trial. The verdict was listed as the sixth largest in California last year. Barry also conducted all pre-trial preparation of the case of Majors v. Western Home Ins. Co., with partner Craig Miller. They won a $1.3 million verdict in November 2006, with a total recovery of $1.6 million.
With Cedar Fire coordinated litigation pending, Barry has recovered more than $6.15 million in insurance coverage for Cedar Fire victims to date. She is currently participating in the prosecution of 17 Cedar Fire cases against State Farm with partner Richard Huver. She recovered more than $6.76 million in additional insurance coverage for Cedar Fire victims through pro bono assistance.
