BioMed Realty partners with Advanced BioHealing to develop regenerative medicine campus in San Diego

BioMed Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE: BMR) today announced that it has completed the acquisition of two parcels of land, comprising approximately 28 adjacent acres in San Diego, for a purchase price of approximately $47 million, excluding transaction costs.

This appears to me to be a big deal. Companies do not buy 28 adjacent acres that can accomodate 800,000 sf, without plans for a complete build out. With all of the focus on unemployment in this state making the headlines everyday, and this company obviously going to hire hundreds of people, where is EDC, where are our elected officials, where are the banner headlines? Come on, are you going to wait for Roger Showley to scope you again? Where is the indepth interview with the company, the architect or the contractor? You can do a better job!
