U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia is perhaps the biggest proponent of Constitutional "originalism" in the country. He believes the provisions of the Constitution should be interpreted the way the framers who drafted them intended.
He's like that old curmudgeon grandfather who has nothing nice or constructive to say but "In my day...." To limit policy under a constitutional analysis, regardless whether such policy is fair and decent, because it doesn't conform with his view of what the "Framers believed" is both INSANE and cold-hearted. The Framers simply created a living, breathing document. The country would be such better off when he is off the Court!
