john gonnerman 11:13am October 23, 2012Why is it that all journalism has gone to relying on news services feeds and not augmenting with local input. There is a building on Ulman Street in San Diego that has been under construction for over 25 years. It was once called the castle and used to owned by Tom Grondoni a local architect. As an eyesore it has diminished a bit as it has become overgrown. Since its mostly built of reinforced concrete it may become a Stonehenge like puzzle to archaeologists in the coming millenia. There is another project on the corner of Lowell and Plum Street that is closing in on its 8th year with no work underway. These are just two such dormant projects that have become local eyesores. I suspect that a little journalistic effort would show up large numbers of these projects that cities will have to deal with at some point. Likely by suing the lenders that have been stuck with the projects.
