In celebration of its 25th anniversary, La Jolla's George's at the Cove, has hired Shortfuse Marketing to provide PR support.
Despite their successful tenure in the San Diego restaurant scene, restaurateur George Hauer and executive chef/partner Trey Foshee continue to raise the bar of the dining experience at this eatery. The entire complex underwent a top-to-bottom reinvention and renovation that began in 2007 and concluded in 2008.
The venue includes three levels, each with a different dining experience, including George's California Modern, the upscale contemporary restaurant on the first floor that also houses the Modern Bar; George's Bar, with indoor and outdoor seating, located on the second level; and the Ocean Terrace & Bar, located on the third (top) level with outdoor seating and casual bistro fare.
Their new marketing program was launched in August, which includes PR, advertising and social media, along with a new content-rich Web site, all designed to highlight the seasonal menu creations of Foshee, signature cocktails of mixologist Frankie Thaheld and sweet endings of pastry chef Trang Huynh.
"The name George's is synonymous with excellent cuisine and breathtaking views, but a large part of the story remains to be told," said Bridget Palitz of Shortfuse Marketing. "Our challenge is to reintroduce locals to the restaurant they fell in love with so many years ago and expose them to all that is new, special and even more amazing at George's. If people haven't been to George's in two or three years, then they haven't been to George's."
