Brandt Beef is a third-generation, family-owned producer of beef with a ranch in Brawley, Calif., and a processing plant in Los Angeles. Currently, Brandt Beef products can be found on menus of upscale restaurants, hotels and retail markets.
Mama's Kitchen, soon to celebrate its 20th year of operation, is a local provider of convenient and high-quality prepared and delivered meals, and pantry services to men, women and children affected by AIDS or cancer throughout San Diego. Since its inception in 1990, Mama's Kitchen has served thousands due to its long-standing services and array of campaigns, including Critical Illness Nutrition and Meal Delivery and Children's Nutritional Health programs.
Los Arcos Restaurant has its first U.S. location in Chula Vista. Having been in business more than 30 years, Los Arcos boasts 16 locations in nine Mexican cities, in addition to its San Diego County operation.

Red Door to take avocados digital

The California Avocado Commission has selected Red Door Interactive as its digital agency of record.
The partnership will create streamlined communication programs to support the state's growers, retailers and foodservice partners while also touting the benefits of California avocado consumption with consumers.
"Not only can we be a greater resource for our agricultural, trade and consumer audiences by leveraging the real-time capabilities of the Internet," said Jan DeLyser, CAC's vice president of marketing, "but enacting new and expanded online strategies now will put us in a great position to efficiently support our stakeholders into the future."
The Commission will partner with Red Door to incorporate an integrated marketing strategy in social media, online advertising and e-mail marketing alongside a business-oriented strategy that will increase interest in "Hand Grown in California" avocados.
