Cook & Schmid to steer 'Titanic' campaign

San Diego public relations firm Cook & Schmid has been selected by the San Diego Natural History Museum to manage a PR campaign for "Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition."

The firm was chosen to develop and manage a marketing and media relations program to support the museum during all phases of the exhibitionís seven-month stay, which begins Feb. 10 and will run concurrently with the 100th anniversary of the Titanic’s sinking.

This is the exhibitionís first stop in San Diego. The exhibition, owned by Premier Exhibitions, includes more than 200 artifacts recovered from the wreck 2.5 miles below the surface; 175 of these will be seen for the first time on the West Coast.

Besides this campaign, Cook & Schmid has also been selected by San Francisco-based biotech company Sequenta to manage strategic communications.

The PR agency will plan and implement a campaign to build awareness of Sequentaís platform for molecular diagnostic assays.
