Rio Sabadicci

It's a quick half-mile ride to Vinturi Inc.'s new facility from its old one, made quicker still with CEO Rio Sabadicci at the wheel of his Maserati. As soon as Sabadicci zips around the corner, the Carlsbad company's growth since debuting its wine-aerating gadget in 2007 is put in substantial, concrete terms: the new headquarters is 12 times larger.

Vinturi's modest office of the past two years on Grey Hawk Court has room for some cubicles and a small warehouse. The new two-story facility on Lionshead Avenue is 60,000 square feet and a vast blank slate. Sabadicci has used tape to outline on the concrete floors where there will soon be modern office space, a warehouse, meditation room, gym, kitchen and a saltwater aquarium.
