Targeted chiefly at the hospitality industry, these devices control the heating and air conditioning units (HVAC) in hotel rooms, sensing when a room is unoccupied and turning down the energy usage.
Kopp founded Energy Eye along with a college friend in 2001, at the age of 21, when he saw a gap in the market for energy control sensor devices that could be retrofitted for existing buildings.
