Robert Valderrama

Commissioner

Unified Port of San Diego

3165 Pacific Hwy.
San DiegoCA92101
Being a leader comes naturally to Robert Valderrama. He was in a club called the "sociables" at Sweetwater High School, where he was chosen as the president amongst all his peers.

"It was something that I always migrated to, a leadership role," he said. "Everything that I have got involved in, it seemed that I became the leader of that organization."

Valderrama has held leadership roles with various groups and locally appointed positions, like director at the San Diego County Water Authority Board and the chairman of the board at the San Diego Construction Council. But he has seemed to leave his mark in National City, where he grew up and has served on various committees within the city.
