Interior design is under way for two two-story model homes at Glen Park, a new single-family residential community located at 705 Via De Plata in San Marcos. The project is slated for completion at the end of this month.
San Diego-based model home interior design firm Kuatro Design was retained by KB Home (NYSE: KBH), one of the largest home builders in Southern California and developer of Glen Park.
Glen Park will encompass one- and two-story single-family homes, featuring four different floor plans that range from 1,740 square feet to 2,725 square feet. Layout options will include two to 2.5 bathrooms, three to six bedrooms, and two-car garages.
Kuatro Design is incorporating a "Country Urban" theme and a "Contemporary Ranch" theme into the interior design of the model homes at Glen Park. Resembling a city/beach family playhouse, the Country Urban model will feature a palette of fresh blue tones and neutral whites to create subtle ties to the ocean; while simultaneously embracing the contemporary sophistication of urban living.
The Contemporary Ranch model will be a nature-inspired home, accented by warm khaki hues, browns and subtle pastels. The design also will incorporate earthy textures such as leather, metal, wood, cotton and grass.
To add to the contemporary flair, artwork will encompass oversized canvases with contemporary patterns, along with select modern furniture pieces.
"Our goal for each model is to create a clean, light and bright ambience with a touch of urban sophistication, taking into consideration Glen Park's proximity to both country and city," said Lorena Gaxiola, creative director for Kuatro Design. "Both model homes are being designed for the active family that likes to entertain. The sleeping areas are spacious but private, with space for kids to play and study. Living areas are easy to furnish, and promote a relaxed, family-oriented lifestyle.
