Smith Consulting Architects, the project architect, was retained by general contractor Swinerton Builders, with Dennis W. Heine, special projects group manager, providing oversight for the $700,000 project. Bill Brecht is the owner of the two-story, steel-framed building.
The new building encompasses a showroom and sales offices on the first floor, with administrative offices on the second floor. The facility accommodates outdoor parking for 100 vehicles.

Design features of the new facility echo the clean, modern lines of the existing Brecht BMW dealership located in the Escondido Auto Park. Solar gray ribbon glass window treatments and white stucco walls accented with aluminum reveal moldings were employed to give the structure an unadorned, horizontal appearance. Interior design features reflect a Euro-design theme, featuring a backdrop of gray-tone finishes, exposed structural framing and integrated lighting and graphics systems.
Pete Bussett served as the principal-in-charge for Smith Consulting Architects, with Bill Sharon as the designer and Grant Evans as job captain. Steven Ahles served as the landscape architect. Prime Structural Engineers served as the structural engineer; Hale Engineering, civil engineer; Encompass Electric, electrical engineer; Helm Corp., mechanical engineer; and Barrack Nichols, plumber
