Ledcor Petty Construction LP has broken ground on phase one of construction for Neurocrine Biosciences (Nasdaq: NBIX) in the Carmel Valley campus. The project consists of two structural steel buildings totaling 200,000 square feet on 13.4 acres with all related site work. Building 1 totals four stories consisting of three stories of administration, executive offices, cafeteria and an auditorium over a one-story parking garage. Building 2 totals five stories consisting of three stories of biotech research and development laboratories over a two-story parking garage.

Construction of two buildings for Neurocrine Biosciences is under way and scheduled for completion in 2004.
Project consultants include: Dowler-Gruman of San Diego, Building Architect, Geocon of San Diego, Geotechnical Engineers, Rick Engineering of San Diego, Civil Engineers, KTU+A of San Diego, Landscape Architects, Hope Engineering of San Diego, Structural Engineers, TKG of San Diego, Consulting Engineers, Weather Engineering of San Diego, Mechanical and Plumbing Engineers and Neal Electric of Poway for Electrical.
Ledcor Petty Construction's project team is represented by Dan Dickey as project manager, Gunnar Waage as site superintendent and Bill Beckett as building superintendent. Construction is slated for completion in July 2004.
